Deze tentoonstelling beschrijft de rol van de Belgische spoorwegen tijdens de <strong>Tweede Wereldoorlog<\/strong> en kadert in de aanbevelingen van de Groep van Wijzen in hun rapport \u2018Waarheid. Overdracht. Herstel. De NMBS en de deportaties tijdens de Tweede Wereldoorlog\u2019. De tentoonstelling is gratis voor jongeren tot en met <strong>18 jaar<\/strong>, ook als ze die in schoolverband bezoeken.<\/p>\n<p>Tot op heden heeft het museum meer dan <strong>65.000 bezoekers ontvangen<\/strong>. Leerlingen uit het basis- en secundair onderwijs vertegenwoordigen bijna <strong>40 % van het publiek<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Deze tentoonstelling loopt tot en met <strong>28 juni 2026<\/strong> in Train World en wordt aangevuld met onder meer lesmateriaal en workshops voor scholen, een reeks getuigenissen en lezingen, en speciale webpagina\u2019s die alle beschikbare bronnen (archieven, documentatie, historische collectie) over de Belgische spoorwegen tijdens de Tweede Wereldoorlog toegankelijk maken voor het grote publiek.<\/p>\n<p>Bovendien werken <strong>NMBS<\/strong> en<strong> Kazerne Dossin<\/strong> samen om deze zwarte bladzijde in onze collectieve geschiedenis zichtbaar te maken en de herinnering eraan levend te houden, nu en in de toekomst. De voormalige kazerne in Mechelen, van waaruit tussen 1942 en 1944 veel Joden en Roma werden gedeporteerd, is nu Kazerne Dossin, een <strong>Memoriaal, museum en onderzoekscentrum<\/strong> over de Holocaust en mensenrechten.<\/p>\n<p>Naast het bestaande Discovery Ticket naar Train World en het Koninklijk Legermuseum (WHI), heeft NMBS ook een <strong>Discovery Ticket<\/strong> om per trein naar Kazerne Dossin te reizen en deze plaats van bezinning, herinnering en herdenking te bezoeken.<\/p>\n","centre":false},{"acf_fc_layout":"media","media":"image","image":2814,"rive":"","size":"small","zoomable":false}]},"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v27.5 -
