Het station is meer dan ooit een belangrijk knooppunt voor treinreizen in Europa, met wekelijks bijna <strong>300 000 internationale reizigers<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Het station ontving in 2025 meer dan <strong>21 miljoen internationale reizigers<\/strong>, een stijging van <strong>9 %<\/strong> ten opzichte van een jaar eerder.<\/p>\n<p>Dankzij de uitbreiding van het aanbod en de centrale ligging van Brussel en Belgi\u00eb weet de trein steeds meer reizigers te overtuigen als het <strong>meest duurzame vervoersmiddel<\/strong> binnen Belgi\u00eb en Europa. Zo versnellen we de<strong> modal shift<\/strong> en bouwen we aan een <strong>koolstofarme mobiliteit<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Vandaag kunnen reizigers met <strong>NMBS<\/strong> naar bijna <strong>6 000 bestemmingen in 14 Europese landen<\/strong> reizen. Meer dan <strong>1 000 van deze bestemmingen<\/strong> liggen op minder dan <strong>zes uur van Brussel<\/strong>, met maximaal \u00e9\u00e9n overstap.
